Stereo MC’s – Sunny Day (Joyce Muniz Remix)
It’s been an excellent year for Joyce Muniz, with some superb remixes and her debut LP on Exploited, all supported by taste makers around the Christopher Columbus.

The latest twelve inch from the legendary, K7 Records, is no surprise. A superb sound portrayed by the mature and classy, and K7 regulars, Cobblestone Jazz. The critically acclaimed four piece from Germany via Canada put forward an interesting take on that UK influenced house sound coming through in abundance right now…
This five track EP for London’s Dogmatik imprint delivers 5 distinct flavours of modern house music from accomplished producers Mark E, Dusky, Stojche, BUBBA and Dimi Wilson. Having helped shape the career of Maya Jane Coles in it’s early years
Enter the talented three piece band, Chasing Kurt. The talented musicians and vocalists have a knack for songwriting, and a penchant for house and techno. The industrial vibe created within the first minute of the title track, Money. Is solid proof of their excellence.
Man of the moment, Subb-an, presents a similar taste to his massively popular Noir & Haze remix. Managing to maintain a cool vibe even with the oversampled Curtis Mayfield – Love & Happiness vocal. No doubt this remix will be the pick of the bunch for most.
Eric Estornel, who you may know better as Maceo Plex, is releasing an EP under his original Maetrik moniker. Although the title track could easily be confused for a Maceo Plex beat, his vocals are less poppy and generally screwed beyond recognition. Techno
My heart will always have a soft spot for Lawrence. The melodic, god like music he purveys is like no other. Seamlessly blending hypnotic soundscapes with deep four to the floor beats, the Kurama EP is solid gold. Taking a
A very refreshing take on the ‘IN’ sound of the moment, that Bashmore can somewhat credit himself for. Leaning towards a slightly a slightly more musical, experimental side, Riff Wrath is a timeless piece of music for many taste buds and will be one of those records that stays in the bag for years to come.
Any Delusions of Grandeur junkie will bitch slap me for leaving this one so late. I haven’t been trawling for records lately in hope of saving some money for Christmas, and somehow I still haven’t saved anything.
Danilo Plessow, aka Motor City Drum Ensemble, teams up with We Play House regulars FCL (Red D & San Soda) to deliver the twenty second installment of DoG.
The remixes are the standout for me on the record however, a superb lineup featuring two of the UK’s finest. Glasgow maestro OOFT and Wolf Musics hit machine Medlar. The Eddie C remix is great, but it’s total stoner heaven. Medlar absolutely kills it for me here, simple, spacious house music. OOFT gives it a bit of a 90′s touch but keeps things rather sultry, perfect for the late night.
Craig Smith drops a new remix for quality French label, Needlight.
Very subtly using Soul II Soul vocal samples, Craig has delivered a sultry deep house mix with a gritty drum track and moody keys looping throughout. I don’t know what it is about that Glasgow crew but I don’t think I will ever tire of hearing music like this.
Roberto Rodriguez on the remix front for Large Music.
Hypnotic 303 and incredibly smooth vocals, set this one up to be a top track of Australian summer.
Really feeling the latest Weekend Express remix for the new Knightlife release on Cutters Records. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Daniel and he’s obviously been busy at work on some mature new sounds. Slightly different from his
New York may be the city that never sleeps, but Melbourne is clearly the city that is never silent. Yet another ridiculous release from our boy Griffin, this time on UK based label Join The Dots. The label is run
Love that the first Saturday night that I’ve spent at home in three years provides me with this amazing new remix from Mic Newman. Dropping on one of the labels we love, Paper Recordings. One of the most powerful house
When The Rapture started a dance music label, it could have easily been full of underground tunes that only the heavyweight record collectors picked up and played out. However they’ve pushed out a really solid catalog so far and there
I just stumbled across this preview on SoundCloud before for Subb-ans new release coming out on Crosstown Rebels. This is a great move forward for the young UK producer, with CRM being one of the leading labels in house music
It’s been a while sorry folks, we had an absolutely ridiculous weekend to celebrate our first year of existence which result in very little time spent on the computer. However as with all absences there is always some great music
Most of know what full time loving feels like, and it’s never usually this good. This brand new release from Canadian Poupon is getting support from across the globe and rightly so, upbeat drums drive both of these deep numbers.
