Let's face it, Discovery and Homework are going to be covered, re-intepretated, reworked, edited etc. etc. until the end of time. Sure enough Daft Punk probably did create the best dance music albums of all time, but for the most part these new versions of their tracks are usually uncreative, uninspiring attempts at some quick minutes of fame.

Benoit & Sergio on the contrary have already proven themselves as fantastic musicians and producers and really raised the bar for future Daft Punk covers with their excellent rendition on perhaps the biggest track from their albums. Around The World.

Their superb use of powerful analog sounds and a simple and snappy drum line make for a sick cover by themselves, then the creepy vocoder slides right in and then it hits.

Available as part of the Covers EP 10" released on Double Standard US. The flip side is an impressive cover of Sade's, Sweetest Taboo by upcoming fellow americans, Slow Hands.
