Brisbane's Youth takes the helm for our December mix. We couldn't be happier with the results.

What’s the idea behind the new mix?

The mix follows from a new track of mine recently signed to Brooklyn Fire (Ed - Tommie Sunshine's new label) , and continues upon a deep path of music I've been personally feeling on a few levels at the moment, as well as translating quite well to the dancefloor. Walk the thin line between something that picks you up when your down and music to make you get down.

You’re signed to a few labels, what are they and what can we expect release wise for next year?

I have a few originals coming out on Brooklyn Fire next year. A few remixes I've been sitting on, such as the Bravestation remix featured in the mix, as well as a few edit 12"s on Foot & Mouth and Kojak. I'm currently working on some edits with a friend of mine which I hope to possibly put out myself but thats still a long way away.

What’s been your favourite event that you DJed at?

I recently played a few shows in NY and London which were amazing, but I have to say playing the all-nighters at Elsewhere in Australia is amazing. There's always a crowd of young kids keen to party all night long and the soundsystem and light up dancefloor is amazing. Its the closest thing this side of Australia has to a proper Loft vibe.
